I use a diff. rip then Skullptura (blaze69), and have to go a different way: 1) Install Steam (Free versions are available). 2) Enter Steam, choose the My Games tab. 3) Click the "Add non-Steam Game..." button. Locate the left4dead.exe file. 4) Rightclick the new Shortcut in Steam, select Properties. Add -console at the end of the Target-marker. 5) Follow the previously written guide on Console-codes. Good luck I know how it works for me…
