WordPress or Drupal

Although WordPress and Drupal are two separate type of software. WordPress being a blogging software while Drupal is a Content Mangement Software, I am still struggling to see which to to adopt for EscNews.

I really like WordPress 2.1 at the moment as you can see, I am currently writing the entry using WordPress. the experience for me has been so simple to understand and easy to manage. The only thing that I can’t figure out is how to show the name of the person contributing the post. Otherwise I must said I am very happy blogger using WordPress.

As for Drupal, a content management software and for the linux based platform. Drupal describes itself as “can support a variety of websites ranging from personal weblogs to large community-driven websites.” Drupal contains a lot of features and settings for personal weblog to large community driven websites. I have not gotten a chance to play with all the features and settings but it is not as easy as WordPress.

I think I am seeking for only a blogging software, which WordPress would be a clear winner. However, I also want to expand in the future.. Ah.. what the hell, that is the future, now I will just stick with WordPress 2.1 and see how far that takes me.
